Beginning Fall 2011
Come spend a joy-filled morning each week with a group of parents, their young children and Colette Green. The rhythmic morning will be spent greeting friends, doing circle (movement and seasonal songs), watching children play while having conversations about child development, making seasonal crafts, preparing snack and hearing stories. There will be time to share our parenting experiences while we eat our meal.
The Sunflower Seedlings Class will be held at The Denver Waldorf School from 9 – 11 am in 10 week sessions. You may enroll for Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday mornings.
After an enrollment interview, all of the class parents will be invited to an evening orientation and tour of the space. We will discuss the class rhythm, the Waldorf approach, and our intentions for our mornings spent together.
Later in the session, all of the class parents will gather together for a discussion evening about topics of interest such as the Waldorf approach to parenting, healthy play and discipline.
Colette Green has been a Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher for the past 18 years. She has worked with mixed-age kindergarten, nursery and parent-tot classes. She received her Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher Training with an emphasis on therapeutic education.
