Morning Glory: ages 3 1/2 to 6

Laurie Clark (Lead Teacher) has been teaching Waldorf Preschool Kindergarten for 25 years. She attended the Teacher Training program at Rudolf Steiner College in Sacramento, California, and she also has earned her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has completed the East Coast Training in Remedial Work. She mentors Waldorf teachers around the country and teaches in various training courses for teachers.

Cheryl Hiraoka (Lead Assistant) graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder as a voice major in Music Education. This is her third year in Morning Glory. She taught music for several years in Jefferson County and directed a vocal ensemble at the Arvada Center. She also performs at national conferences and in community theater and coaches voice for adults and children. Cheryl plays the flute and the piano, as well as other instruments.
Larkspur: ages 4 to 6

Alice Jordan (Lead Teacher) has been teaching Waldorf Preschool Kindergarten for 22 years. Alice has been an advocate for the protection of childhood all her adult life. She was a La Leche League leader for many years, and a volunteer at Urban Peak (a homeless shelter for teenagers). Raised in Australia and trained at Melbourne's Tate Theatre Company, she traveled extensively until settling in Colorado.

Anamaria Leighton (Lead Assistant) attended Waldorf schools in both elementary and high school. She worked for one year in the Kindergarten at River Song Waldorf School in Ft. Collins. Anamaria has a B.A. in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado and is working on her Masters in Waldorf Remedial Education through Sunbridge College.

Starflower: ages 2 1/2 to 4

Colette Green (Lead Teacher) found Waldorf education while investigating schools for her son about 24 years ago. For the past 14 years she has taught at The Denver Waldorf School and Parzival Shield Waldorf Preschool Kindergarten. She was the Director of Parzival Shield for four years. She received her Waldorf certification from Gradalis’ Three-Year Early Childhood Program (with a therapeutic emphasis).

Cyndi Ross-Smith (Lead Assistant) started working at the San Diego Waldorf School in 1990. She helped to develop the After Care program at DWS and she worked in After Care from 1997-2004, becoming the After Care Director in 2004. Cyndi has had two formal years of Early Childhood Education and years of on the job training, as she has worked with young children in some capacity since she was 19.

Woodrose: ages 3 1/2 to 6

Amy Perfect (Lead Teacher) has been a member of the Waldorf community for 11 years. Before becoming the Lead Teacher in Woodrose this year, she spent eight years as an Assistant in the Larkspur Preschool Kindergarten. Amy is involved in Waldorf Teacher Training at the Rudolf Steiner College and is also a participant in the Waldorf Regional Kindergarten Study Group.

April Moore (Lead Assistant) has over seven years of experience assisting in Waldorf Preschool Kindergartens. In addition to working at the school, April presents a variety of classes in the Denver area in the areas of aromatherapy and astrology. Her other interests include holistic healing and yoga.
