Academic calendar, from late August to early June. The morning Preschool Kindergarten begins at 8:30 and ends at 12:30. Parents have the option to add afternoons, which end at 3:00.

Types of Preschool Kindergarten classes

All four of the Preschool Kindergarten classes are mixed-age. We offer two classes for children ages 3 1/2 to 6 1/2 (Morning Glory and Woodrose), one class for children 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 (Larkspur), and one class for children 2 1/2 to 4 (Starflower).

Student/Teacher Ratio

One to eight in Starflower and one to nine in the other classes. Each class has a experienced lead teacher, a lead assistant, and an afternoon assistant.

Snack and Lunch

Wholesome, organic, and protein-rich snacks are prepared by the teachers, with the children's participation. The groceries for snack are provided by the parents on a weekly rotation. For full day students, parents provide a wholesome lunch for their children.

Extended Care

At the big school, morning daycare begins at 7:30 a.m. with Mrs. Clark in Morning Glory classroom. At Starflower Preschool, Mrs. Green is in the classroom by 7:50 a.m. If you need to arrive to school earlier, please let her know. The official time for the day to begin in all the classrooms is 8:30 a.m.

The Starflower Preschool day ends at 3:00 pm. After school care is available on school days from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for Preschool Kindergarten through Grade 8 students. After school care is reserved in advance, and billed at $4 per hour on a contractual basis, or $6 per hour on a drop-in basis.
