Puppet Shows – Be sure to catch a performance of a silk marionette puppet show, “The Snow Maiden,” performed by our very own and much loved Kindergarten teachers. Shows at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Woolen Angels – This is a Waldorf classic. Using soft 100% wool roving and a few steps with your hands, create a wispy white angel that will add a natural and ethereal touch anywhere it is hanging.
Rainbow Votives – Using tissue paper and a little Mod Podge magic, children transform simple votive candles into colorful, glowing art. Bring some beauty, warmth and light into your home through this simple craft.
Candle Dipping – Dip, Drip, Dunk and Dry! Children create beeswax candles (with supervision by our 2nd Grade parents) by dipping wicks into crock pots of melted wax and then into cool water to harden. Our younger Fair-goers can create candles out of sheets of rolling wax.
Royalty Room – Using Waldorf’s curriculum basic of handwork, children sew together two felt pieces and then decorate them to create a playful tomten hat or a glittered adorned crown.
Balance Challenge – Enjoyed by children of all ages – but especially by our older students – this room features a course of equipment to challenge your child’s balance and agility. Course-goers are guided and assisted by 4th Grade parents. Children 2nd Grade and younger need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, please.
Elf Land – Children are given a wooden disk and set loose with their imaginations to create a home or village for their favorite woodland creatures using moss, colored pebbles and glass, jewels, pine cones, twigs, seed pods, dried flowers and other material from our gardens. Fifth Grade parents guide students and supervise the use of hot glue – this activity can be enjoyed by pre-schoolers with the help of a parent.
Cookie Heaven – 6th Grade students dressed in angelic gowns lead children individually through a lovely illuminated maze to pick out one delicious cookie (gluten-free and vegan cookies available). This activity has the most repeat visitors!
Children’s Shoppe – Our 7th Graders will help your child select and wrap lovely gifts for family members. You give your child a little bit to spend (most gifts range between $1 and $3) and hand them off to one of our students (supervised by teachers and parents). The children can then embark on a their own shopping excursion in this no-parents-allowed activity. Children get to experience the spirit of giving, and they love to surprise you!
Holiday Train – The Holiday Train is a must for children ages 1 through 12. Toot Toot! All Aboard! Meet the train and conductor adored throughout Denver – it’s the same train you enjoy at the Children’s Museum! Enjoy our free holiday gift to you!
Horse & Carriage Ride – The Horse & Carriage Ride takes you around our neighborhood. Children love the clip clop clip clop and jingle jingle jingle! Pickup is just outside of the main entrance. The ride is free, our holiday gift to you.
Our merchants feature everything from unique and holistic children’s items to handmade goods, books and food.
