Staff Changes

Staffing Changes by Judy Lucas, Administrative Director

blue-waldorf-logoThis is the time of year when we say a fond farewell to staff who are leaving and announce new staff for next year.

As you may already know, Trent Price, Lead Assistant in Woodrose Preschool/Kindergarten, and his family will be returning to Oregon.
Kimberly Rickards, Nap Assistant, will become the new Woodrose Lead Assistant.

Kimberly has been involved with teaching since 1990, has worked in three different early childhood settings, and has been working in Woodrose for over a year.

Rachel Ladasky, Lead Assistant in Morning Glory Preschool/Kindergarten, will be opening a new off-campus nursery for The Denver Waldorf School called “Bluebell Garden” in Park Hill. Her Lead Assistant will be Mary Ray, currently serving as Nap Assistant in Morning Glory. Rachel and Mary have worked together for over two years in Morning Glory. Mary began working in an early childhood setting in 2001 and has led a parent-tot class as well.

Jessica Tamayo will be the new Lead Assistant in Morning Glory. Jessica completed her Waldorf Teacher Training at Sunbridge Institute (with our own Jen Palmer, Starflower Nursery’s Lead Teacher) and has taught or assisted in three other early childhood settings.

We have not filled all three nap assistant positions, but are close. We will give you an update once all three positions have been filled.

Alicia Rigsby, our piano accompanist, will be pursuing a license to teach music. We have appreciated her musical professionalism and her ability to sight read and we wish her best. We are still looking to fill the piano accompanist position.

Elizabeth Harden will be completing her project in transitioning administrative staff into a new integrated software system. We will be looking to replace her with a part-time registrar position.

Julie Vogel will be a full-time student next year, so we will be looking for a new Games Teacher for Grades 1 – 3.

Warmly,
Judy Lucas, Administrative Director
